I come from a long line of tough, resilient women. My great‑grandmother lost her husband at 57, yet she continued ranching on her own, refusing to let hardship take away the life they built. She believed deeply in preserving history and passed that passion down through our family. She lived in the Fenton House until just days before her passing at the age of 98.

My mother faced the same loss at the same age—57—and just like the women before her, giving up our way of life was never an option. Strength, grit, and devotion to this land run in our blood.
